Riffs, Beats & Codas quoted in new book on Johnny Mathis

Writer Jakob Baekgaard has written a musical appreciation of the classic American crooner Johnny Mathis. His 2022 book, Misty: The Music of Johnny Mathis is the first book-length study of Mathis’ formidable recording legacy. Baekgaard was able to interview multiple arrangers and producers who worked with Mathis, and the artist himself also contributes the Foreword. Jakob’s book includes some quotes from Riffs, Beats, & Coda’s three-part review of the 2018 Johnny Mathis boxed set The Voice of Romance: The Columbia Original Albums Collection, “Johnny Mathis (Easy) Listening party!
